Kate joined the team in March 2024 as Staff Accountant. She started her career as a Staff Accountant, later moving to Cost Accountant for Argon Medical Devices in Athens, Texas. She assisted in various budget analyses, project cost tracking, and vetting a dynamic database model during her three years in Texas before moving back to Moore County to be near family. Kate then worked for as Business Accountant for Pine Needles Country Club for almost two years performing financial analyses, assisting with major software changes, and creating budgets with management.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Though originally from Indiana, she was raised in Pinehurst and holds it near and dear to her heart.
Kate and her husband currently live in Aberdeen, NC with their two cats, Sam and Ash. She enjoys experimenting with new recipes, playing video games with her friends, spending time with her family.
Natalie Gordon joined C.F. Smith Property Group in 2025 as General Counsel. In her role, she oversees all legal matters for the company, with a particular focus on the company’s real estate needs. Natalie specializes in advising the company on complex real estate transactions, leasing, and development projects, bringing both legal acumen and strategic business insight to support the company’s growth and operations.
Before joining the company, Natalie was a partner with a well-regarded law firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she built a strong commercial real estate practice and advised a wide range of clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and other real estate matters. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and her law degree from Capital University Law School. A proud Buckeye, she continues to cheer on her alma mater whenever possible.
Natalie now lives in Seven Lakes with her husband, Tyler, and their three children, Griffin, Collins, and Emmett. Outside of work, she enjoys riding her horse, Lenny, spending time on the lake, traveling with her family, and supporting her children in their many activities.
Adna joined C.F. Smith Property Group as Director of Property Management, bringing over 18 years of experience overseeing more than 15 million square feet of retail, office, and industrial properties over her career. She has worked for a variety of global real estate firms, including JLL and Cushman & Wakefield, serving institutional, public, and private clients. She is recognized for delivering strategies that enhance asset value, increase NOI, reduce operational costs, and strengthen tenant relationships.
In her role, Adna oversees all property management-related functions across the company’s portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and financial performance. Her expertise spans capital project management, lease administration, budgeting, sustainability initiatives, and vendor management. She is an Accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is known for her commitment to service, efficiency, and results.
Adna and her husband live in Raleigh with their three sons — her two adult sons, ages 25 and 23, and their youngest, age 2½. An active parish member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, she serves in several volunteer capacities. In her free time, she enjoys competitive tennis through the USTA, coached by her husband, a former professional tennis player, and spending quality time with her family.
Andrea serves as a Staff Accountant at C.F. Smith Property Group, bringing over 12 years of extensive experience in governmental accounting and fiscal management. Andrea has built a reputation for ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency while managing complex budgets, grants, and financial systems that supported Public Health, Behavioral Health, and Substance Abuse and Recovery Programs.
Before joining the private sector, Andrea dedicated her career to serving communities through critical public health and emergency planning roles. She also supported CAL Fire as part of a county incident management team, coordinating disaster response logistics and working closely with local stakeholders to build community resilience. Andrea is known for her collaborative approach, sharp analytical skills, and commitment to supporting teams with clear communication and thorough oversight.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family. She and her husband Todd stay busy keeping up with their two children, Tristan and Ember, and their energetic yellow lab, Finn. Whenever possible, you’ll find the Spantons traveling or hitting the trails for a new hiking adventure together.
